Your
MELL Board of Directors has been working hard again this spring to get everything
prepared for a safe, fun and well-organized season.
Based
on excellent results last year, we will continue to use online registration
process. The online registration website, sanctioned by the Little League, is
safe and secure and provides many benefits to both parents and the volunteers
who work so hard to manage the over 500 registrations every year. Thousands
of youth sports teams use this website for their registration process, including
Peabody, Beverly, Gloucester, Sandwich and North Andover, along with many others
in the state.
The
Opening Day Parade will be held on Saturday, May 3rd in Essex - We will
assemble in the parking lot behind Woodman’s at 8:30 am. Players should have been
called by their coaches prior to the parade so they will know what team they are
on. For the younger players that do not have uniforms yet, they will be distributed
on Saturday morning. All players will be provided a shirt and hat and baseball
socks, but are expected to provide their own grey baseball pants. The parade will
begin proceed down Memorial Field where we will have Opening Day ceremonies.

Softball Evaluations will be on Saturday March 29rd at the Manchester High School.

As soon as a group
of athletes completes the circuit, they will be sent home (parents, please plan
on staying with your children). For those who are not being evaluated on Saturday
please fill out the forms and mail them to PO Box 400 Manchester, MA 01944.
And, if your son or daughter did not return his or her uniform from last year,
please bring it to evaluations.

and corporate sponsorships are welcome and encouraged. Interested parties should

By
completing the registration process, all registered players and parents agree
to comply with MELL policies and rules, and the MELL code of ethics (to be distributed
at evaluation day).
